Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to purchases and subscriptions for H/T at humanitiesintech.com. H/T is operated by qiailabs.studio.

1. Subscription pricing

H/T is offered as a monthly subscription at USD $9.99 per month.

Subscriptions are processed through Stripe.

By subscribing, you authorise recurring monthly charges until you cancel.

2. General refund position

Because H/T provides access to a digital AI-assisted drafting service and may generate usable career materials immediately, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once charged.

This helps prevent abuse where a user generates or accesses career materials and then requests a refund after receiving the value of the service.

3. Cancellation stops future billing

You may cancel your subscription before your next billing date to avoid future charges.

Unless otherwise stated or required by law:

  1. Cancelling stops future billing.
  2. Cancelling does not automatically refund charges already paid.
  3. Access may continue until the end of your current paid billing period.
  4. If you do not cancel before the next billing date, the next monthly charge may still be processed.

4. Refunds we may consider

We may consider a refund if:

  1. You were charged twice for the same subscription period because of a duplicate payment error.
  2. You paid but could not access the paid product due to a verified technical issue caused by H/T.
  3. You were charged after your cancellation was confirmed before the relevant billing date.
  4. A refund is required by applicable law.
  5. We determine, at our discretion, that a refund is appropriate in a specific case.

5. Refunds we generally do not provide

We generally do not provide refunds because:

  1. You changed your mind after subscribing.
  2. You forgot to cancel before the next billing date.
  3. You did not use the product during the billing period.
  4. You generated outputs but decided not to use them.
  5. You were dissatisfied because H/T refused to fabricate, exaggerate, or misrepresent your experience.
  6. You did not receive an interview, recruiter response, job offer, ATS ranking, or employment outcome.
  7. You expected legal, immigration, recruitment, or professional career advice beyond the scope of the product.
  8. You provided incomplete, inaccurate, or weak input and received outputs limited by that input.

6. Technical issues

If a technical issue prevents you from accessing or using the paid product, email hello@humanitiesintech.com within 7 calendar days of the charge.

Please include:

  1. The email address linked to your account
  2. The date of the charge
  3. A description of the issue
  4. Screenshots or error messages, if available
  5. Whether you were able to generate or access any outputs

We may try to fix the issue before deciding whether a refund is appropriate.

7. Duplicate charges

If you believe you were charged more than once for the same monthly subscription period, email hello@humanitiesintech.com with the relevant account email and payment details.

If we verify a duplicate charge, we will refund the duplicate amount or otherwise resolve the billing issue.

8. No job-outcome refunds

H/T does not guarantee interviews, job offers, recruiter responses, ATS ranking, background-check outcomes, visa outcomes, or employment results.

Refunds are not provided simply because the product did not lead to a specific career outcome.

9. AI-output dissatisfaction

H/T uses AI to assist with drafting and positioning. AI-generated outputs may require human review, editing, and judgment.

Refunds are not automatically provided because you dislike the style, tone, wording, or strategy of an output, especially where the output was based on the information you provided.

10. No refunds for misuse

We may refuse a refund if we believe the product was used dishonestly, abusively, fraudulently, unlawfully, or in breach of the Terms of Use.

This includes attempts to use H/T to fabricate employment history, credentials, metrics, achievements, or other misleading claims.

11. Payment disputes and chargebacks

If you have a billing issue, please contact hello@humanitiesintech.com first so we can try to resolve it.

If you file a dispute or chargeback through your bank, card issuer, or payment provider, Stripe and the relevant financial institutions may handle the dispute according to their own procedures.

We may provide evidence of account activity, subscription status, cancellation records, generated output activity, communications, and payment records where needed to respond to a dispute.

12. Processing approved refunds

If a refund is approved, it will usually be processed back to the original payment method through Stripe.

Refund timing may depend on Stripe, your bank, card issuer, or payment provider.

13. Changes to this Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date.

The Refund Policy in effect at the time of your charge will generally apply to that charge, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
