This Privacy Policy explains how qiailabs.studio collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data when you use H/T at humanitiesintech.com.

H/T is an AI-assisted career-material drafting product. It helps users paste resume text, paste job listings, answer structured follow-up questions, and generate application materials such as a rewritten CV, a cover letter, a missing-information or quantification checklist, and a positioning or gap note.

1. Who we are

H/T is operated by qiailabs.studio.

We do not publish a public mailing address on this website. Privacy, support, and data requests should be sent to hello@humanitiesintech.com.

2. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of H/T, including:

  1. The website at humanitiesintech.com
  2. Account creation and login
  3. Pasted resume, CV, career, and job-listing content
  4. Structured follow-up answers
  5. AI-generated outputs
  6. Saved projects and outputs
  7. Subscription and payment-related account records
  8. Support and privacy requests

For V1, H/T does not support file uploads, PDF parsing, or document extraction. Users should not upload files because file-upload functionality is not part of the V1 product.

3. Personal data we collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data.

Account data

This may include:

  1. Email address
  2. Login and authentication information
  3. Account status
  4. Subscription status
  5. Account creation date and related account metadata

User-provided career content

Because H/T helps generate career materials, you may choose to provide personal data such as:

  1. Resume or CV text
  2. Work history
  3. Education history
  4. Skills, languages, certifications, or achievements
  5. Job listings or target role descriptions
  6. Follow-up answers about your experience, scope, projects, metrics, stakeholders, and career goals
  7. Any other information you paste into the product

You should only provide information that is true, relevant, and necessary for generating your career materials.

AI-generated outputs

We may store outputs generated through H/T, including:

  1. Rewritten CV or resume content
  2. Cover letters
  3. Missing-information or quantification checklists
  4. Positioning or gap notes
  5. Other generated career-material drafts made available within your account

Payment and subscription data

Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store your full card number.

We may receive or store limited payment-related information such as:

  1. Whether your subscription is active, cancelled, expired, failed, or renewed
  2. Stripe customer or subscription identifiers
  3. Transaction status
  4. Billing period status
  5. Refund or dispute status where relevant

H/T is offered as a monthly subscription at USD $9.99 per month.

Support and communication data

If you contact us, we may collect:

  1. Your name or email address
  2. The content of your message
  3. Any account, product, billing, or privacy issue you raise
  4. Our responses to you

Our email provider is Google.

Technical and service data

We may collect limited technical data needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service, such as:

  1. IP address
  2. Browser type
  3. Device information
  4. Approximate location derived from technical data
  5. Date and time of access
  6. Error logs
  7. Security logs
  8. Session or authentication events

Analytics

We do not use optional analytics tools at launch.

We may still process limited operational logs through our infrastructure providers to keep the service secure, reliable, and functional. If we add optional analytics later, we will update this Privacy Policy.

4. How we collect personal data

We collect personal data when:

  1. You create or use an account
  2. You paste resume, CV, job-listing, or career information into H/T
  3. You answer follow-up questions
  4. You generate or save outputs
  5. You subscribe, cancel, renew, or make a payment through Stripe
  6. You contact us by email
  7. You use the website or product and technical logs are generated

5. How we use personal data

We use personal data to:

  1. Provide and operate H/T
  2. Create and manage your account
  3. Authenticate users and protect accounts
  4. Generate career-material drafts using AI
  5. Save your projects and outputs so you can return to them
  6. Process subscription status and payment-related records
  7. Respond to support, refund, deletion, and privacy requests
  8. Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, or misuse
  9. Maintain, debug, and improve the service
  10. Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, and operational obligations

6. AI processing

H/T uses OpenAI API services to generate AI-assisted outputs.

When you submit resume text, job listings, follow-up answers, or other prompts, relevant content may be sent to OpenAI for processing so the product can generate your requested outputs.

OpenAI states that API data is not used to train or improve OpenAI models unless the API customer explicitly opts in. OpenAI may retain API data for abuse monitoring or legal/security purposes according to its applicable API data policies.

You should not paste unnecessary sensitive personal data into H/T.

7. Service providers

We use third-party service providers to operate H/T. These may include:

  1. Supabase for authentication, account management, database hosting, and saved user projects
  2. OpenAI for AI generation
  3. Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery, security, and operational infrastructure
  4. Stripe for payment and subscription processing
  5. Google for email and business communications
  6. Other providers that may be reasonably necessary to operate, secure, or support the product

These providers may process personal data on our behalf or as independent controllers, depending on the service and context.

8. When we share personal data

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share personal data:

  1. With service providers needed to operate H/T
  2. To process payments and subscription status
  3. To respond to your support or privacy requests
  4. To comply with legal obligations or lawful requests
  5. To protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of users, the product, or qiailabs.studio
  6. In connection with a business transfer, restructuring, merger, acquisition, or sale, if relevant

9. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

In general:

  1. Account data is retained while your account remains active.
  2. Saved projects and generated outputs are retained while your account remains active, unless you delete them or request deletion.
  3. Subscription and payment records may be retained as needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal purposes.
  4. Support emails may be retained as needed to respond to your request and keep records of support, privacy, refund, or dispute handling.
  5. Security and operational logs may be retained for a limited period to protect and maintain the service.
  6. Backup copies may persist for a limited period before being overwritten or deleted through normal backup cycles.

10. Data deletion workflow

You may request deletion of your account data, saved projects, and generated outputs by emailing hello@humanitiesintech.com from the email address associated with your account.

Our workflow is:

  1. You email hello@humanitiesintech.com with the subject line: "Delete my H/T data".
  2. We verify that the request came from the email address associated with your account or ask for reasonable identity verification.
  3. We check whether you have an active subscription. If needed, we will cancel the subscription or ask you to cancel it through the billing flow before account deletion is completed.
  4. We identify the account data, saved projects, pasted content, follow-up answers, and generated outputs linked to your account.
  5. We delete or anonymise the data that is no longer needed to provide the service or comply with legal, security, tax, accounting, dispute, or fraud-prevention obligations.
  6. We confirm by email when the deletion request has been completed, or explain if certain data must be retained for a lawful or operational reason.

We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 calendar days where reasonably possible. If we need more time, we will tell you.

Deletion may not remove data already processed by third-party providers from their own temporary logs, security records, payment records, or legally required records. For example, Stripe may retain payment records, and OpenAI may retain API logs according to its own applicable data policies.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, including Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, you may have rights to:

  1. Request access to personal data we hold about you
  2. Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  3. Withdraw consent for certain uses of your personal data, where consent is the applicable basis
  4. Request deletion of your account data, saved projects, and outputs, subject to lawful retention requirements
  5. Ask questions about how your personal data is collected, used, disclosed, or protected

12. Withdrawal of consent

You may withdraw consent for certain uses of your personal data by contacting us at hello@humanitiesintech.com.

Please note that withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide parts of H/T. For example, if you ask us not to process pasted resume text or job listings, we may not be able to generate AI-assisted career materials for you.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect personal data.

These may include:

  1. Authenticated account access
  2. Use of reputable infrastructure providers
  3. Access controls
  4. Encryption in transit where supported
  5. Limited internal access to user data
  6. Security and operational monitoring

However, no online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account login credentials safe.

14. International transfers

Our service providers may process or store personal data outside Singapore. By using H/T, you understand that your personal data may be processed in countries with data protection laws different from those in your country.

Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual, technical, or organisational safeguards to support such transfers.

15. Children's privacy

H/T is intended for users who are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly provide the product to children.

16. Accuracy of user-provided data

Because H/T generates career materials from information you provide, you are responsible for ensuring that your pasted resume text, job listings, follow-up answers, and final outputs are accurate, truthful, and suitable before use.

Do not provide false employment history, fake credentials, invented achievements, or misleading metrics.

17. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of H/T after changes are posted means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
