Delete My Data / Privacy Request

This page explains how to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy support for personal data connected to your H/T account at humanitiesintech.com.
H/T is operated by qiailabs.studio.

1. What you can request
You may contact us to request:
- Access to personal data linked to your account
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
- Deletion of your saved projects, pasted content, generated outputs, or account data
- Withdrawal of consent for certain uses of your personal data, where applicable
- Clarification about how your data is collected, used, disclosed, or protected
- Help with subscription-related data questions
2. How to submit a request
Email hello@humanitiesintech.com from the email address associated with your H/T account.
Use one of these subject lines where relevant:
- "Delete my H/T data"
- "Access my H/T data"
- "Correct my H/T data"
- "Withdraw consent for H/T data use"
- "Privacy request"
In your email, include:
- The email address linked to your H/T account
- The type of request you are making
- Whether you want project deletion, account deletion, or both
- Any specific project, output, or data item your request relates to
- Any extra context that helps us locate the relevant data
3. Identity verification
For your security, we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
We usually verify by checking that the request comes from the email address associated with your account.
If necessary, we may ask for reasonable additional information to confirm that you are the account holder.
We will not ask for your password.
4. Data deletion workflow
When you request deletion, our workflow is:
- We receive your request at hello@humanitiesintech.com.
- We verify that the request is linked to the correct account.
- We check whether your subscription is active.
- If your subscription is active, we cancel future billing or ask you to cancel through the billing flow before completing full account deletion.
- We identify personal data linked to your account, including saved projects, pasted resume text, pasted job listings, follow-up answers, generated CVs, cover letters, checklists, and positioning notes.
- We delete or anonymise personal data that is no longer needed to provide the service or meet legal, security, tax, accounting, dispute, or fraud-prevention obligations.
- We remove or disable your account access where full account deletion is requested.
- We confirm completion by email, or explain if some data must be retained for lawful or operational reasons.
We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 calendar days where reasonably possible. If we need more time, we will let you know.
5. Project deletion vs account deletion
You may request project deletion or full account deletion.
Project deletion
Project deletion means deleting specific saved projects or outputs, such as pasted resume text, job listings, follow-up answers, generated CVs, generated cover letters, checklists, or positioning notes.
Your account may remain active after project deletion.
Account deletion
Account deletion means deleting or disabling your account and removing saved project data linked to it, subject to lawful retention requirements.
If you have an active monthly subscription at USD $9.99 per month, account deletion may also require cancellation of your subscription.
Deleting your account does not automatically create a refund. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.
6. Data that may be deleted
Depending on your request and applicable obligations, deletion may include:
- Saved resume or CV text
- Saved job listings
- Follow-up answers
- Generated CVs or resumes
- Generated cover letters
- Missing-information or quantification checklists
- Positioning or gap notes
- Saved project metadata
- Account profile data that is no longer needed
7. Data that may be retained
We may retain limited data where reasonably necessary for:
- Payment and subscription records
- Tax, accounting, or audit obligations
- Fraud prevention
- Security monitoring
- Legal compliance
- Dispute or chargeback handling
- Records of privacy, refund, deletion, or support requests
- Backup systems before normal backup deletion cycles complete
For example, Stripe may retain payment-related records. Google may retain email communications. Cloudflare may retain security or operational logs. OpenAI may retain API logs according to its applicable API data policies.
8. Subscription cancellation and deletion
H/T is offered as a monthly subscription at USD $9.99 per month.
If you request full account deletion and have an active subscription, we will either:
- Cancel future billing as part of the deletion workflow where technically possible, or
- Ask you to complete cancellation through the billing flow before deletion is finalised.
You should cancel before your next billing date to avoid future charges.
Account deletion does not automatically refund previous subscription charges.
9. Access requests
You may request access to personal data associated with your account by emailing hello@humanitiesintech.com.
We may provide a summary, copy, export, or explanation of relevant personal data, depending on the nature of the request and what is reasonably available.
We may decline or limit access where permitted by law, including where disclosure would affect another person, reveal confidential information, create security risk, or conflict with legal obligations.
10. Correction requests
If personal data in your account is inaccurate or incomplete, you may request correction by emailing hello@humanitiesintech.com.
Because H/T generates career materials based on information you provide, you remain responsible for ensuring that your resume text, job listings, follow-up answers, and final outputs are accurate and truthful.
11. Withdrawal of consent
Where we rely on consent to collect, use, or disclose personal data, you may withdraw consent by emailing hello@humanitiesintech.com.
Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide the product. For example, if you withdraw consent for processing pasted resume text or job listings, we may not be able to generate career materials for you.
12. Response timeline
We aim to respond to privacy requests within 30 calendar days where reasonably possible.
Some requests may take longer if they are complex, require verification, involve third-party service providers, or require legal or security review. If more time is needed, we will let you know.
